Creating Well-Adjusted Pups

Social situations can sometimes be overwhelming for our pups, triggering bad behaviors like aggression, reactivity and anxiety. You certainly don’t want your pup to lash out when meeting new friends, so it’s important to teach them proper social skills before bad habits become ingrained behaviors.

There’s no better place for your Cincinnati dog to learn socialization than Sit Means Sit. Via science-backed, supportive coaching, we’ll help them build critical social skills to thrive everywhere from the dog park to the daily walk.

Benefits of Dog Socialization Training

Pups that know how to socialize are not only easier to manage, but also much happier. With thorough socialization training, they’ll gain new insights into reacting calmly and confidently to new people, places and experiences, unlocking unbridled joy and curiosity in the process.

Sit Means Sit’s thorough, holistic socialization training process helps your dog:

  • Adapt comfortably to new situations
  • Reduce anxiety in stimulating environments
  • Improve reactions and confidence around other people and animals
  • Remain focused and obedient to commands

Importantly, we reinforce strong bonds of trust between owner and dog, providing essential reassurance and support in social settings.

See Why Cincinnati Dog Owners Love Sit Means Sit

Our puppy Guinness had some bad habits and having never raised a puppy, we needed help. We had a trainer come to our house for awhile, but there seemed to be little progress. Sit Means Sit Cincinnati was a lifesaver. While Guinness still has plenty to learn, his training made a big improvement and the fact that we can take part in group classes for no additional charge is awesome! Guinness loves to see all the dog trainers, they are a great group!
We have been so happy with our experience at Sit Means Sit Cincinnati! The dog trainers treat our pup like one of their own. Our dog loves going to his follow up classes each week, and we LOVE all the progress he has made and continues to make!
Perfect! I really thought I was going to have to rehome Nelson. He was so reactive and his prey drive was excessive. Had done several other obedience classes elsewhere (and they were good) but Sit Means Sit Cincinnati’s 10 day Board and Train did the job. We are meshing so well. I am so much more confident with my 90 pound Serbian German Shepherd than I would ever have thought possible. I am so in love with this dog I cannot wait to start our day hikes this spring. We’re not perfect yet but I have high hopes!
