Frequently Asked Questions About Group Dog Classes

  • Can I sign up for group classes without completing initial training?

No, our group training sessions are not a standalone program. You and your dog must first complete either Board & Train or Day Train to join us. If you are interested in signing up for one of these initial programs, please contact us at (513) 252-9019 or fill out our contact form.

  • What is the difference between individual training and group training?

Our individual training programs focus on teaching core obedience and manners one-on-one with a certified trainer. Our Group Class is a follow-up program that helps your dog master those basic skills and practice new tricks around distractions, like other dogs.

  • How do I know if my dog is ready for Group Classes?

We want to set every dog up for success, so completing our initial training sessions is the first step before joining our fun and enriching Group Classes. This ensures your dog has a solid foundation in the fundamentals to thrive in the group setting.

See Why Cincinnati Dog Owners Love Sit Means Sit

Our puppy Guinness had some bad habits and having never raised a puppy, we needed help. We had a trainer come to our house for awhile, but there seemed to be little progress. Sit Means Sit Cincinnati was a lifesaver. While Guinness still has plenty to learn, his training made a big improvement and the fact that we can take part in group classes for no additional charge is awesome! Guinness loves to see all the dog trainers, they are a great group!
We have been so happy with our experience at Sit Means Sit Cincinnati! The dog trainers treat our pup like one of their own. Our dog loves going to his follow up classes each week, and we LOVE all the progress he has made and continues to make!
Perfect! I really thought I was going to have to rehome Nelson. He was so reactive and his prey drive was excessive. Had done several other obedience classes elsewhere (and they were good) but Sit Means Sit Cincinnati’s 10 day Board and Train did the job. We are meshing so well. I am so much more confident with my 90 pound Serbian German Shepherd than I would ever have thought possible. I am so in love with this dog I cannot wait to start our day hikes this spring. We’re not perfect yet but I have high hopes!
